Golden Glow of Sunrise
It's a early spring morning. The forest wakes up with a foggy type of mist that rises from the earth because the ground is warmer than the air at this time of the morning. The birds are starting to chirp greeting another summer day.
The piece was painted in two stages with two types of paint. Acrylics were applied first in the areas that have trees and some of the fore ground. This was applied as an undercoating. The rest was painted with oils. This gives it the misty/foggy look. All the rocks were painted with one brush stroke. Two colors were applied, one color on each tip of the flat the brush.
